Finiby is operated by Giorgi Otinashvili. This Privacy Policy explains how Finiby collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website, iPhone app, and related services.

Information We Collect
Finiby may collect the following information:
- Contact information: your email address, such as when you sign in with Apple or Google.
- Identifiers: user IDs and authentication identifiers used to keep your account secure and synced.
- Financial information: transaction records you add to Finiby, including amounts, currencies, categories, dates, titles, and related financial details.
- Audio data: voice input you choose to provide for AI transaction categorization.
- Purchase information: App Store subscription status and purchase history needed to manage Finiby Pro access.
- Diagnostics: crash data and performance data, including data collected through Sentry, to help us find and fix problems.
- Settings and preferences: app settings such as default currency and theme preference.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide and maintain Finiby;
- create, sync, categorize, and display your transactions;
- generate analytics and category breakdowns;
- process voice and text input for AI categorization;
- manage Finiby Pro subscriptions and purchase status;
- secure accounts and prevent misuse;
- debug crashes, monitor performance, and improve reliability;
- respond to support, privacy, or data requests.
AI Categorization
Finiby uses OpenAI to help categorize transactions. When you use AI categorization, the transaction text you enter, or the voice input you choose to provide, may be sent to OpenAI so Finiby can understand the transaction and suggest the correct category.
Audio input is accessed temporarily for categorization. Finiby does not store your audio recordings permanently.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Finiby Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. We receive and store subscription-related information needed to verify your purchase, unlock Pro features, and keep your subscription status current.
Diagnostics and Performance
Finiby uses Sentry to collect crash data and performance data. This information helps us understand errors, improve stability, and maintain the app. Diagnostic data may be linked to your user account when needed to investigate or fix a problem.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as needed to operate Finiby, including with service providers that help us provide authentication, subscriptions, AI categorization, hosting, diagnostics, and infrastructure.
These providers may include Apple, Google, OpenAI, Sentry, and our hosting providers.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your account and transaction data while your Finiby account is active. When you delete your account in the app, your account and transaction data are deleted immediately from active systems, except where limited retention is required for security, legal, or operational reasons.

Data Export
In-app CSV export is coming soon. Until then, you may request an export of your data by contacting privacy@finiby.app.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can delete your account in the app, manage microphone permissions in iOS Settings, and manage subscriptions through your Apple ID.

Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted network connections and restricted access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data responsibly.
Children
Finiby is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International Processing
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. When this happens, we take steps designed to protect your information according to this Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
